Xu Zhongping, Vice President of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), was born in Jiangxi in March 1964, and raised in Anhui.
Xu received his Bachelor’s degree from the department of applied mathematics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in July 1985 and his Master’s degree in systems engineering from the school of economics & management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in January 1990. He was a visiting scholar in the center for international education and research in accounting at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from January to December 2000.
Since 1985, he has worked in the College of Management Cadres of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has served as the dean of the department of business administration and the director of the department of finance, the director of the planning finance department of the Graduate University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the director of the planning finance department of UCAS, general accountant and assistant to the president. From December 2017, he has been served as Vice President of UCAS. He has been engaged in teaching and research in management accounting and financial accounting. He won the Outstanding Individual Award in the Asset Check in Nationwide Institutions 2007. He won the Great Achievements Award in CAS Asset Management Reform 2017 and 2018.
