Niu Xiaoli, Vice President of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), was born in Liaoyang, Liaoning in March 1970.
Niu received her Bachelor’s degree in history from the department of history at Peking University in 1992 and her Master’s degree in philosophy from the school of humanities at Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (GUCAS) in 2007.
From August 1992 to August 1997, she worked in the office of human resources at Beijing Medical University (currently known as Peking University Health Science Center).
Since August 1997, she has been working in UCAS (formerly known as the Graduate School of CAS and GUCAS). She has successively worked as the deputy director of the office of the president, deputy director of the office of publicity, director of the office of student affairs, secretary of the Youth League Committee, party branch secretary of education management, director of the party committee office, director of the office of the president, director of the university office, the party branch secretary of administrative offices, the party secretary of administrative offices. She has been Vice President of UCAS since December 2017.
