About the speaker:
Prof.He graduated as a bachelor of Sichuan Normal College (now Xihua Normal University) in January 1982 and got his master and doctor degrees in Northeast Normal University, in 1995 and 1988 respectively. He pursued postdoctoral degree in the Institute of Heredity and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1999, 2002 and 2003, he was a visiting processor and visiting scholar in the Iwate Biotechnology Researcher Center, Japan (STA Fellowship) and Duke University in United States respectively. In 1998, he went to Capital Normal University and was the dean of School of Life Science (the former department of Biology) from 1999 until now. 1992—1996, he was the member of Youth Work Committee of Chinese Plant Physiology Association and the director of Sichuan Plant Physiology Association. He began to work as the Standing Director of Chinese Society of Botany and the Vice Dean of Popular Science Education Committee from 2004. 2005, he was chosen Beijing Advanced Worker.

Prof.He presided national natural science fund (2 items) , National Science Fund for Excellent Youth(type B, 1 item), 3 items of Beijing natural science fund (key 1、surface2) , Backbone Teachers' Fund of the Ministry of Education and 863 sub-subjects of projects , etc. There are over 10 scientific research projects.

Prof.He mainly does research in molecular's regulation mechanism in the breaking up of chloroplast, the genetic operation of bioreactor, the separation of associated genes in plant resistance and its application, etc. He has published over 30 theses in Science, Plant Cell (the second author), Planta, JEB and other academic publications (the first author or message author).
